Our Instructors

Richard started martial arts training in Judo at the age of 8 and by the time he was 18 had reached a level of 2^nd Dan.  He also had the privilege to fight for England in the 1981 European School boy championships and placed 5th in Europe. Judo helped him through all my rough and tumble years of growing up and playing full contact sports most importantly Rugby. He moved to Cape Cod in 1992 and in 1994 started Kenpo Karate and reached the rank of Brown belt when he realized that the school he was attending was not the right choice for him. In 1995 he found USA Kung Fu Academies and has been there ever since. Even with his job as an airline pilot and the many interruptions in his training he now has the Title of Si Bok and after 8 years of training had earned his 1^st level black sash in 2004.
Kung Fu is a challenge and an adventure but through training, kung fu has taught him several valuable lessons but most important of all is " If you open your heart and mind and anything is possible".
